Prooflayer ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Prooflayer Ltd. We provide a digital platform that allows users to register cryptographic proof of the existence of ideas, creative works, inventions, and other content at a specific point in time.

Prooflayer is a proof-of-existence platform. This means:
You must be at least 18 years old to use Prooflayer. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.
If you are using the platform on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your password or allow others to access your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
When you register content on Prooflayer, you confirm that:
You retain all ownership rights in your content. By registering content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing our services.

Subscription fees are charged monthly and renew automatically unless cancelled. Credits do not expire but are non-refundable once purchased.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. Credits are non-refundable.
If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of the charge.
Where blockchain anchoring is selected, we write a cryptographic hash of your content to the Polygon blockchain on your behalf. You understand that:
Where you choose to make content public or list it for collaboration, licensing, or sale, you understand that:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prooflayer's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss arising from reliance on a Prooflayer certificate in legal proceedings.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
